Since Ramadan started, this is the question I’m being asked frequently.
The knowledge people around me have about Ramadhan is really interesting. They know it exists and they know we perform some kind of fasting, but are not always aware of all the details.
In the environment I’m working in, lunch is a very important part of the day. One of my colleagues was working with a team where the boss took everybody for lunch almost daily. He stopped when Ramdhan started just for the respect of my colleague.
I have lunch invitations already reserved for October!

I wonder, do they fast as well?
Did you get to know through these conversations if Jews or Christians fast for any period during the year?
I wonder what the differences are, between our and thier fasting..
Anyway..

True. My cousins still respond with “what? not even water?” until today, and I’ve been living in Cali for ten years.
